A Toast to New Beginnings

May you always have
A sunbeam to warm you,
Good luck to charm you,
And a sheltering angel
So nothing can harm you,
Laughter to cheer you,
Faithful friends near you,
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.

Tulips seek the sun vigilantly. They are a symbol of adjustment, opportunity,  advancement and aspiration.
It seems fitting that Easter/Passover/Spring is our first holiday together without Jay. To me this time of year has always been about new beginnings. Ironically enough the year Jay was born the 31st of March fell on Palm Sunday. So yes it is very fitting.
We have kept our usual morning ritual of chocolate and surprises in baskets. Brunch was always pancakes for us, now it will be banana stuffed French toast. Instead of a ham a beautiful roast with lots of yummy sides. We are also going to put the rest of our plants into raised beds.
We are finding life in starting new rituals, routines and traditions. We will always cherish the memories we have but a bright new beginning will only help us to grow and create a new normal for us. Life isn’t the same without him but I know that he is watching over us and encouraging us to continue on and move forward.
Light, Love and Peace!
