How you can help

November 29th, 2003. The 3 of us got married.

I am not one to ask for help very often but many of our friends and family have asked what they can do to help. Jay’s death was unexpected and way too early. He had so many plans for us and our future.

The kids and I are going to keep moving forward only to avoid having him coming back and haunting us because we failed to continue living. We have only one snag in the whole process.
While Jay and I had discussed what we wanted in the event either of died however had not gotten around to making those arrangements. With his sudden death I am faced with his final expense. The bill is actually $3099.80. I do know that Social Security will pay a whopping $255 for this expense.
A copy of the bill, for transparency, will be available. I used a local, highly recommended funeral home, Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway, SC. Their contact information is:
606 Beatty Street
Conway, SC 29526
843-248-4211
Payments can be made through the Chipin account I have set up (link on the left side of the page) or directly to the funeral home. I will keep up with the account and post regularly where the bill stands.
Thank you all for all of your love and support.

  1. Tammy,I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I know you are suffering with the loss. I tried to Chip-In but the event had ended. Money is tight, but I would like to help any way I can. You need to set this donation site up and keep it up for those of us that can continue to help you and your family over time. Again, I am so sorry. I will donate as much and as often as I can. Warmest regards,Clark

  2. Thanks so much hon. I have closed the chipin.com account. My best friend and her husband have paid the bill in full. But thank you so much for thinking of us. I hope all is well with you. 🙂
