We love freshly made bread but have been spoiled over the years by store bought. Most fresh baked breads do not have the density to make good sandwiches. So after years of searching I found a recipe and gave it a try and a little tweaking.

2. Stir boiling water and shortening together until shortening is melted.

4. Add eggs, oats salt and shortening mixture to yeast mixture.
5. Add 3 cups of flour to form a soft dough.
