Some quotes about children

“You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing. What! Is it nothing to be happy? Nothing to skip, play and run around all day long? Never in his life will he be so busy again.”

Jean Jacques Rousseau

“Delight and liberty, the simple creed of childhood.”

William Wordsworth

“Grown men can learn from very little children, for the hearts of little children are pure. Therefore, the great Spirit may show to them many things which older people miss.”

Black Elk

“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.”

Rachel Carson–note I think this one is going into my signature line

I love it and I think I will start making a quote from there my first post of everyday. Inspiration as to why I have my children home with me to share in their world. It is but a precious bit of time that we get to have them all to ourselves. Before you know it we will blink and they will be grown up and we cannot revisit their childhood again.
